SALVA RUBIO
Salva Rubio (@sirsalvarubio) was born in Madrid in 1978. He is a screenwriter, writer, and holds a PhD in History and Arts. He is a member of the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences and an associate member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA).
He has collaborated with artists such as Rubén del Rincón, Pedro Colombo, Loreto Aroca, Edu Ocaña, Sagar, EFA, Mateo Guerrero, and Agustín Comotto. He is the author of works including El fotógrafo de Mauthausen, La bibliotecaria de Auschwitz, La pirámide inmortal, Max, Nemoralia, La guerra de Audrey, Lorquiana, and Gaudí, la Sagrada Familia y el éxtasis. He has been nominated for Eisner Awards and received the Cognito Prix for Best Historical Graphic Novel at the Fête de la BD in Brussels, as well as the Japan International Manga Award.
Part of his work has also extended into audiovisual media, literature, and non-fiction. He is considered one of the most renowned Spanish screenwriters in contemporary European comics.
