MARTA KAYSER

Marta Kayser (@martakayser) (Madrid, 1986) is an illustrator and comic book author.

Her career has spanned architecture, urban space design, theatre set design and art direction, disciplines that have shaped her approach to visual storytelling.

In 2026, she made her comic book debut with La fábrica de papel (Lumen), an autobiographical graphic novel in which she reconstructs her family history through the figure of her great-grandfather. The work, which combines memory, historical research and personal reflection, has received an excellent critical reception and has established Marta Kayser as one of the new voices in Spanish graphic novels.

She has taught art direction, scriptwriting and storyboarding at CEU San Pablo University.
