From literature to comics

How is a literary work transformed into a comic? What decisions need to be made when adapting a story conceived for written narrative into the language of comic panels? And how do rhythm, storytelling and character development change throughout the process?

Albert Monteys will talk with science communicator Jordi Ojeda about his experience adapting literary works into comics, particularly through projects such as Slaughterhouse-Five, by Kurt Vonnegut, adapted with a script by Ryan North. A conversation about the adaptation process, the relationship between text and image, and the narrative possibilities offered by the language of comics.
