JORDI OJEDA

Jordi Ojeda (Barcelona, 1966) holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering, is a professor at TecnoCampus and a science communicator specialising in comics, science and technology. Since 1997, he has directed the Comics, Science and Technology project, which uses comics, science fiction literature and fantasy cinema as tools for science communication and knowledge transfer.

Throughout his career, he has curated numerous exhibitions on comics, science and technology, and has collaborated with institutions and festivals such as the Barcelona International Comics Fair and the Catalonia International Fantastic Film Festival. Among the exhibitions he has curated are Robots en su tinta, La guerra de los mundos and Cómics en vuelo.

He is also the author of several books on comics and popular culture, including Robots de cine. De María a Alita and Cómics: una inmersión rápida, an introduction to the world of comics, graphic novels and manga. In 2010, he received the Popular Award for Comics Outreach at the Barcelona Comics Fair.

A career that brings together comics, culture, science and science communication, helping to highlight comics as a tool for explaining and understanding the world.
