JOAN S. LUNA

Joan S. Luna (@joan.s.luna), born in Barcelona in 1967, is a journalist, music critic and writer. Since 1996, he has been editor-in-chief of Mondo Sonoro, and throughout his career he has contributed to numerous general-interest and specialist media outlets covering music, comics and popular culture.

As an author, he has published Los colores del underground (Astiberri, 2009), Amarga como el peyote (Proyecto Estefanía, 2023) and C. Tangana. Del rap crudo a la alfombra roja (Libros del Kultrum, 2025), as well as contributing to several collective works.

Son cuatro días (Astiberri Ediciones), illustrated by Jordi Pastor, is his first graphic novel as a writer. The book draws on the memory of a friend who died by suicide at the age of twenty-four and explores grief, guilt and the need to talk about loss and break the silences surrounding it.
