CAFU

Carlos Alberto Fernández Urbano, professionally known as CAFU (@cafucomic), is a Spanish comic book artist, inker, and cover illustrator born in Madrid on June 15, 1984. He is one of the most acclaimed Spanish comic artists both nationally and internationally.

He began drawing at a very young age, making his professional debut in 2006 with Image Comics. Shortly afterwards, he moved to DC Comics, where he worked on several series and co-created The Vixen: Return of the Lion alongside Santi Arcas. He also had a notable run at Valiant Comics, illustrating characters such as Shadowman, X-O Manowar, and Unity.

At Marvel, he has worked on iconic characters including Iron Man, Venom, Black Panther, the X-Men, and Jane Foster: Valkyrie, among many others. Since 2020, he has worked exclusively for Marvel, where he remains one of the publisher’s most prolific and celebrated artists.
